News Item: Salt Lake City One Big Step Closer to New Stadium
It doesn't take a blogger to realize that Soccer Specific Stadiums are extremely important to the long-term health of the MLS. Here in Chicago, we're about to realize the fruits of new construction. The good news out of Utah is that a hotel taxing bill has recently been passed that provides a vehicle for RSL to obtain public funding to help build a new stadium in Sandy, Utah. As badly as things are going for MLS in Houston this winter, the situation couldn't be much better in Salt Lake City. Well, a competitive team this year couldn't hurt... (Bostrom)
