Obviously the game stunk. And the telvision doesn't begin to show how hot, sweaty and crowded the little town of G'kirchen was. But we had a great time. And we met Frankie Hejduk!!! He was just standing outside the stadium greeting folks. Amazing. Here's a guy who should have been on the team save for a knee injury and he's with his wife and son Nesta (his wife took the picture) hanging with regular guys like us before the game.

We slept a good 10 hours after that game and being up the night before flying. But it was worth it. The crowd in the stadium was very excited and the atmosphere was whatyou would expect for the World Cup. But as each goal was scored, the U.S. fans became more and more distraught. And we don't have many soccer songs to sing as a country so we kinda just sit there feeling glum.
