9 days
The waiting is the hardest part.
This will be my last weekend stateside. That sounds so Eurosnobby but, amazingly, it's true. The U.S. team landed in Germany today (Hamburg) so that makes it all the more real. Unfortunately, their game against Angola Monday won't be open to the public or the tv cameras so it's going to be 9 days without much news. At this point, I surely hope it's no news from the U.S. camp because news would likely only come in the form of bad news -- an injury.
In seven days Germany takes on Costa Rica to open the Cup. If I can only make it to next Friday I think I'll be okay!! (Bostrom)
