News Item: Pat Noonan's recent injury puts his fitness for the World Cup in doubt. If healthy, does he deserve a spot on the roster?

I've never been a huge Noonan fan. in my head, rightly or wrongly, he gets lumped into "the big fish in mls/little fish anywhere else group" that includes folks like ralston, buddle, henderson, zach thornton, razov, etc.

If Noonan makes the team, he's probably your last guy so if he's playing, you're in big trouble anyway. Since he would be the last guy, it would be helpful if he's a good teammate (check) and can play multiple positions in a pinch (check). I need to find out whether Bruce used the entire roster (besides Keller & Meola) in '02.

You guys are brilliant. I check every hour for new updates. As for Noonan, he's too Jekyl and Hyde for me. If he plays well, I don't have confidence he will the next time out.
