It's June!
The calendar has turned and it's the greatest month of all - June in a World Cup year.
In 11 days, the U.S. will take the field against the Czech Republic.
In 10 days, I'll leave for Germany
In 9 days, I'll be standing by the door ready to go
In 8 days, I'll review all the Send Off Series matches to find a hidden strength of the team
In 7 days, I'll reset TiVo to make sure all WC matches are recorded. No Desperate Housewives surprises allowed!
In 6 days, I'll pretend not to care about the WC so my family thinks I'm not nuts
In 5 days, I'll research German train schedules and Google Earth again to plot my trek from Frankfurt to Gelsenkirchen.
In 4 days, I'll pretend I'm young again and lace up the boots
In 3 days, I'll read a blog or 30 about the Cup
In 2 days, I'll buy a new U.S. soccer shirt for the Cup
In 1 day, I'll change my money to Euros
Today, I'll just dream it's June 12!
